Certificate of Good Standing

A letter from the Delaware Secretary of State stating that a firm is in good standing with the state is known as a Certificate of Good Standing, or Certificate of Existence.
To handle real estate, create a corporate bank account, get a loan, get a certificate of authority to operate in another state, or merge with another business, you need a certificate of good standing. Authorities typically accept the document as evidence of the business’s continued existence for 30 to 60 days following the issuing date. After that, a fresh Certificate of Good Standing might be required.
